Well, since the iPod doesn’t come with a radio, here’s an iPod dock that does. So you get your iPod music and digital radio sound in one package. The sound is good enough and it comes at a nice enough price tag at around $265 when you buy it off Amazon, John Lewis or Comet.

Let’s take a peek at what you get. The radio comes with sixteen preset channels so you can save all your favorites and it’s got an inbuilt alarm clock which has the snooze and sleep functions. What’s more, it looks pretty good too. The finish is black and very sleek.

Now for the inside story. It isn’t really much but it’s good enough. There’s 30W of power in the speakers and a 15W subwoofer. The radio has built-in dual band DAB digital and FM. What is DAB? Well, it is a digital broadcasting spectrum that is very popular in Europe and compared to FM, it is supposed to have audio fidelity that is way better. Of course it is compatible with the MP3 players and all the iPods. However while it plays, syncs and charges all these, it will not charge the iPod Shuffle.

The remote has 23 keys and can control so many functions and this includes the treble and the bass. All in all, it’s a speaker dock that looks good, sounds good and gives you the radio option too. Oh and while we’re at it, let’s not forget the alarm.
