It is medium sized and it has three speakers. There is a centrally mounted 9W speaker, two 3W speakers in the front and a sub-woofer at the back. It all adds up to a compact little unit but you get a great sound from it. Not to mention for the price.

Turn it up to a high volume and surprisingly, there is very little of a rattling sound that you think would emerge from something this size and for the price. There is hardly any distortion and at the volume on full, the sound is quite clear.

This does not have an option to use battery power but runs on regular power and uses 15W. There are two buttons on it – one to turn the volume up and the other to turn it down. The other controls are on a remote control which is a good handy size. Here, you can control the treble, bass, access to your iPod as well as selection of the tracks. There is no grill in front of the speakers. There is a line-in cable supplied which is really very useful and the line-in on the device allows you to connect a radio or a mobile phone to it. You can connect it up to your computer through the USB connector without having to move it around.
