It costs $3,999.95 and every true music lover will tell you it’s well worth every cent. It’s been developed and built by German sound engineers and you won’t find this quality of sound other than in a few live musicians’ custom-built amplifiers. And it is the world’s first tube-based iPod speaker system.

What does this tube-based technology entail? Well, the system is made of four powerful Class-A tubes in an aluminum-encased amplifier. These generate low-octave sound that is warm and practically free of all distortion and the tubes glow as the music is played. What this tube amplifier does is to gently get rid of any distortion which might come up thanks to modern digital recordings and it is done by using analog tubes instead of digital electronics.

What this tube technology also does is to minimize the loss of quality and compensate for it in compressed audio like you would find in MP3s.There is a single synchronized chassis for each speaker which ensures realistic, warm tones. This reduces out of phase audio as well as ill timed audio. The matching speakers are full range and double cone.

Also included are 13′ triple-core speaker cables which are well insulated and come with gold-plated connectors. And you get an RCA cable. The whole system weighs 42 lbs and the dimensions are 11 1/2″ height x 6 1/2″ width x 26″ length.

You can also connect the system to a satellite radio, CD player or any other audio device through a second audio-in port. So if it’s studio-quality sound you’re looking for and you can write out a check for it, this is what you got to get!
