If you want an iPod speaker system to show off, this is it – this is the one. It’s a little system and what’s great is that the price is highly appealing as well. So you’re paying a little, it takes up very little room in terms of space and it is big on looks. Now if after all this, you expect it to be big on sound as well, that would really be asking for a bit too much.

Coming to the sound or rather the quality of sound, it isn’t as good as many of the others in the same price range. Though unlike many others in this range, it has treble and bass controls, the sound tends to be a bit tinny and there is not much of a bass response. If you were to turn up the volume, there tends to be a marked distortion.

However, if you like ‘small’ and you like ‘looks’ then this is the one for you. It’s got ‘his’ and ‘hers’ variants too – black for him and lavender for her. So if you like to dress up the place with your iPod speakers, this will do a great job.

It has some good features and you can synchronize and recharge with a Universal Serial Bus – USB or FireWire and this would be very welcome if your iPod is an older model. You can also use it with TVs – it has an S-Video output though you cannot use it with the more recent iPods, only with the iPod video. It also has a line-in jack for the iPod shuffle and this can be used with many other audio devices as well. It also has six docking inserts and cables for video out, line in and stereo line out. All in all, not an awesome speaker system but decent enough.
